Rileigh King

A little bit about Rileigh....  She lives in Fort Worth, Texas and works full-time at Calvary Cathedral International. She recently got married to the man of her dreams and also coaches varsity cheerleading at Calvary Christian Academy. She loves reading, writing, and spending time with family.

What dreams did you put on your bucket list this year that came to life?

I had lots of dreams come to life this year! Most importantly, my wedding! I married the man the Lord made just for me this past August! Our wedding was so sweet. The presence of God was there, and it had everything I wanted - cake, coffee, a cross backdrop, and our pastor married us with our family and friends there.
Another amazing dream come true is I was able to pay off my student loans and entered our marriage debt free! It's felt so good to be debt free.
Personally, I wanted to deep clean and purge my belongings. And learn to cook! Both of those have come SO far. :)

That is amazing! Tell me more!

We bought a house! The purchase of our home was an absolute miracle. I wrote a verse I was standing on in my February notes and drew a little home next to it. The house we ended up purchasing in July looked EXACTLY like that picture I had drawn months earlier!

Wow, What a praise report. What are some of the other things God placed on your heart this year?

I truly believe that God put David and I together to be one another's strengths and to expand His kingdom through our television ministry. I'm expectant! We've also redesigned my husband's ministry's website and are working on building a partner ministry.

And I want nothing more for my cheerleaders than for them to know God personally and discover the Holy Spirit - how He leads, how He speaks, how real He is.The cheerleading team I coach is set to compete this winter for the first time since 2009. I switched up a lot of things for them this year in an effort to draw them closer to the Lord.

When you wrote this down all these dreams did you have faith that God could do this? How did you feel creating your bucket list?
Absolutely. David (my husband) and I knew 2016 would be a big year for us. We've let our faith be challenged and learned to stand with one another God's shown us HIS faithfulness. Stepping out in faith was hard. Budgeting was hard. Seasons changing was hard!

How do you use your Horacio Printing Planner? How did it help you in your journey of seeing this dream come to life?
Well, I loved the open space this planner gave me in my weekly and daily planning. But more than anything, I loved the quarterly check-ins. I loved the challenge of making myself sit down and take time to really think through this year and what I wanted to accomplish. I stay so busy, so hurried, that I struggle to get things done that I really believe the Lord wants me to do. It's allowed me to open up to Him and let Him be the God of my schedule.

What is God teaching you in this season of life?
I've never moved out of my parents' house (I went to a local university), so that transition was really hard. But He's taught me that He's the same God that captured my curious heart at 15 years old. He's seen me through every transition thus far, and He's faithful to His Word. Faithfulness is an essential part of His character (Psalm 89:8, AMP). The Lord is challenging me not to limit Him. Think bigger. Dream bigger. And make TIME to think creatively. I'm learning that the key to my dreams coming true is more time in His presence. I MUST hear Him. I MUST give Him my time first.

How do you stay connected to God in our busy society?
Thankfully, I have a man who also has to stay connected to God! We've allowed one another our daily prayer time, and we share what the Lord is speaking to us all the time. We stay in church, we stay in the Word, and purge our minds and hearts of "culture" on purpose.

We are so proud of Rileigh  and so encouraged by her bold faith! There is so much possibility when we trust in the Lord. If you have a story of something coming to life from your bucket list we would love to hear it! Click here to share your story!

We hope these testimonies will inspire you to dream BIG and grow in faith. We love you.

Meet Kayla Matykunas

Tell us a little bit about yourself, Kayla.

“I am an Elementary Education major at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and attend Colonial Church. I have a huge passion for teaching and photography. I am dating the most incredible man who is pursuing his desire to become a pastor, and I could not be more proud of him. I love living at the beach, pretending to be a master chef, painting, napping, cuddling with my two puppies, reading, and writing to-do lists (and re-writing them over and over!).”

What Dreams did you put on your bucket list this year that have come to life?

“On New Year’s Eve 2015, I wrote down and prayed over my number one desire: to get a new job. I had never created a bucket list until I received my planner, but it was so great to sit down and write down what I believed my heart and life cried for.”

“I was not happy at my current job, and that unhappiness transferred into other areas of my life. I absolutely had faith that God could do this. The next day, January 1st 2016, I got a call with a job offer that I was over the moon to accept. Just like that, an answered prayer, I had a job that I would soon call home, a job that brought me so much joy.“

That is amazing! Are you still at this job?

“No, the story gets better. A few months later, the business I loved so much closed due to unforeseen circumstances. The loss of my job absolutely crushed me. But I trusted the Lord that He had His hands wrapped around my heart, carrying me through this time. Not a day later did I get another phone call about another job. God was so good, providing me with two wonderful jobs, at the perfect time. I think it is so beautiful to look back at my planner and see the tear stained pages that I spent precious time praying over through the pain and then through the joy.”

Wow! Was it so hard to trust again when you lost your job? How did you deal with this season of confusion?

“So I think that sometimes people can go their entire life not knowing the reason behind something bad happening in their life. When I lost my job, I had no idea why this would happen, I was so happy, so at home. But I am so excited to look back and see the perfect reason why this bad thing happened in my life. At my job earlier this year, I worked a lot. I loved it, but it did stop me from going to a church I was very interested in. I longed to be involved in a church and that was not available to me at that time. When I lost my job, and started my new job, I then had the opportunity to go to the church I had been wanting to attend. When I did, my heart was made so happy! Easily, this is the best thing that has happened in my life this year. This church has been a huge blessing, I wouldn't want it any other way. It felt incredible knowing a reason why this had happened in my life- to experience a church home that I would not have experienced otherwise. I am so thankful to be  walking through life alongside the most amazing brothers and sisters in Christ at a Colonial Church I am so happy to call home.”

How has the HP planner helped you in your journey of seeing this dream come to life?

“I think that anxiety is something that is so common for people to struggle with these days, myself included. My anxiety, fear, and worry gets the best of me often. I am an over-planner, a list maker, a list re-marker.. over and over, and an over-thinker. However, my beautiful HP planner is a daily reminder of my security in Christ. The bible verses, praise reports, and weekly intentions are a few of the aspects of my planner that help me focus on what is important- that the Lord has woven my life so uniquely, with such intention, that He has my dreams and passions held tightly to His heart. I'm reminded that my dreams I have prayed over align with God’s heart, and there is nothing more beautiful than knowing I am pursuing passions God breathed into my life. It makes those fears of not knowing what will happen in life disappear.”

How do you stay connected to God in our busy society?

“Constant prayer! Driving to work, at work, cooking dinner, always praying.”

What is God teaching you in this season of life?

“God is teaching me that it is okay to not be okay. It is okay when things are not perfect, when they aren't going exactly as planned. He is teaching me the importance of fellowship and community. But, He is also teaching me the importance of time alone. I am not a big fan of being alone, of being left to just me and my thoughts, for that is when my anxiety and fear creeps in. And I have had some rough times alone, but the Lord has shown me some beautiful times not alone at all, but with Him. My entire life has been a testimony that God can do immeasurably more than I could ever ask or imagine. He is teaching me to trust, to serve, to give, and to love.”

We are very proud of Kayla, and so encouraged by her trust in the Lord!  If you have a story of reaching a goal on your bucket list, we would love to hear it! Click here to share your story!

 Meet Rachel Bennett

Tell us a little bit about yourself, Rachel.

“I am a Christian ‘NGO worker’ at a hospital in Southern Bangladesh. I've been here for about 3 years.”

What Dreams did you put on your bucket list this year that have come to life?

“When I was working on my ‘Bucket List’ in January, God laid it on my heart to work on starting the translation process for Elizabeth George's ‘Loving God With All Your Mind.’ I was nervous. I knew that this year would hold a LOT of changes and a steep learning curve at the hospital. However, I believe this book can impact the lives of Christian women here.”

What is God teaching you in this season of life?

“In this season, I have to fight for time with Him. You never know what a day will look like here at the hospital!  It's nice to have reminders periodically of what my goals and dreams are, and to be reminded to pray about them. He is teaching me to trust Him with my days, my competency, and my reactions.”

We are very proud of Rachel and so encouraged by her bold dream to reach a new part of the world! There is such possibility when we trust in the Lord. If you have a story of working toward a goal on your bucket list, we would love to hear it! Click here to share your story!

The Dreamer - Anna

The Dreamers, is a collection of interviews from our Horacio Printing family. These interviews highlight dreamers who have recorded bold dreams in their ‘The Best is Yet to Come” planners and trusted and co-labored with God to make it happen. We hope these testimonies will inspire you to dream BIG and grow in faith. We love you.

Meet Anna Kietzman!

Tell us a little bit about yourself Anna.

I am a creative woman who is crazy about Jesus. He has gifted me as a musician and artist with an insatiable desire to pursue whimsy and adventure. I love corgis and coffee, as well as surrounding myself with lovely people and way too many books. I currently work as a Guest Talent Cast Member at Disneyland Resort, a class facilitator at Gymboree Play & Music, and a freelance portrait and couples’ photographer.

What dreams did you put on your bucket list this year that have come to life?

I wanted to go to Israel with a group of young adults, but there was no way I could come up with the money.

It was a miracle of God. A $3000 trip and I didn't drop a dime on it. And I had no major fundraisers either. I put out a few posts every week with the link via Instagram and Facebook and generous souls poured out support. I felt inadequate and silly asking for money, and yet God assured my heart that this was all for a purpose. Coming back from such a life-changing trip has been rewarding and transformational. My faith stands on solid ground now, and He is showing me just how much can be accomplished when I ask boldly and wait on His power and might.

The trip was phenomenal, and God truly showed up.

When you wrote this down, did you have faith that God could do this? How did you feel creating your bucket list?

Honestly, I was writing down in complete faith at the time. I couldn't see how any of it could be possible, but as the months unfolded He wowed me again and again with His faithfulness and care. I was in tears on my knees at several points, but His Holy Spirit would always show up and encourage me through His presence, a timely word from a friend, a key Bible verse, or a song.

Tells us a little bit about your planning process.

Before I plan my week, I always start by looking at my dream planning pages from the front of the planner, and then I write out my whole schedule. It's great to keep reminders in front me, and since I'm so visual and slightly obsessed with aesthetic, the way in which it's organized helped me to keep my goal in front of me even when I didn't feel like it was gonna happen.

How do you stay connected to God in this busy world?

I read a devotional every morning in Joyce Meyer's Confident Woman Devotional, listen to podcasts or worship music in the car, and actively volunteer on the worship and youth teams at my church. I also am very aware of who my close friends are, and select them wisely. I try to surround myself with Jesus-loving people in my inner circle who aren't afraid to call me out and are very good at celebrating the small victories with me.

What is God teaching you in this season of life?

To be bold in life and pursue the passions in my heart with abandon, trusting that He is there to catch me if I fail and bolster me when I need assistance. He is teaching me how to eliminate fear from my life.

We are so proud of Anna and so encouraged by her bold faith! There is so much possibility when we trust in the Lord. If you have a story of something coming to life from your bucket list we would love to hear it! Click here to share your story!
