Meet Anna Kietzman!

Tell us a little bit about yourself Anna.

I am a creative woman who is crazy about Jesus. He has gifted me as a musician and artist with an insatiable desire to pursue whimsy and adventure. I love corgis and coffee, as well as surrounding myself with lovely people and way too many books. I currently work as a Guest Talent Cast Member at Disneyland Resort, a class facilitator at Gymboree Play & Music, and a freelance portrait and couples’ photographer.

What dreams did you put on your bucket list this year that have come to life?

I wanted to go to Israel with a group of young adults, but there was no way I could come up with the money.

It was a miracle of God. A $3000 trip and I didn't drop a dime on it. And I had no major fundraisers either. I put out a few posts every week with the link via Instagram and Facebook and generous souls poured out support. I felt inadequate and silly asking for money, and yet God assured my heart that this was all for a purpose. Coming back from such a life-changing trip has been rewarding and transformational. My faith stands on solid ground now, and He is showing me just how much can be accomplished when I ask boldly and wait on His power and might.

The trip was phenomenal, and God truly showed up.

When you wrote this down, did you have faith that God could do this? How did you feel creating your bucket list?

Honestly, I was writing down in complete faith at the time. I couldn't see how any of it could be possible, but as the months unfolded He wowed me again and again with His faithfulness and care. I was in tears on my knees at several points, but His Holy Spirit would always show up and encourage me through His presence, a timely word from a friend, a key Bible verse, or a song.

Tells us a little bit about your planning process.

Before I plan my week, I always start by looking at my dream planning pages from the front of the planner, and then I write out my whole schedule. It's great to keep reminders in front me, and since I'm so visual and slightly obsessed with aesthetic, the way in which it's organized helped me to keep my goal in front of me even when I didn't feel like it was gonna happen.

How do you stay connected to God in this busy world?

I read a devotional every morning in Joyce Meyer's Confident Woman Devotional, listen to podcasts or worship music in the car, and actively volunteer on the worship and youth teams at my church. I also am very aware of who my close friends are, and select them wisely. I try to surround myself with Jesus-loving people in my inner circle who aren't afraid to call me out and are very good at celebrating the small victories with me.

What is God teaching you in this season of life?

To be bold in life and pursue the passions in my heart with abandon, trusting that He is there to catch me if I fail and bolster me when I need assistance. He is teaching me how to eliminate fear from my life.

We are so proud of Anna and so encouraged by her bold faith! There is so much possibility when we trust in the Lord. If you have a story of something coming to life from your bucket list we would love to hear it! Click here to share your story!
