I am not creative. This looks terrible. I am not an artist. I don’t have an inner artist.

I believe that these statements are lies.

I believe that you are an artist. At your core, your were designed in the image of God. You were created to create, to dream, to take an idea and make it a reality.

You learned to create what wanted at a young age. Remember when you had the idea of enjoying a PB&J and then you made that your reality? Remember the brilliant worlds you created in your childhood bedroom or backyard? It is in our DNA to dream, plan and do. To create. God has a wild imagination. He gave us this imagination too, and I invite you to embrace it again.

God is ready to co-labor with you. He puts passions and dreams in our hearts for a reason and you have no idea the impact you can have on this world by simply saying yes, taking the next step, and being obedient to your calling.

I truly began to believe this when I read The Artisan Soul by Erwin McManus. He says-

“What is your idea of you? Who is it that you have decided to become? If your greatest work of art is the life you live, and ultimately life is a creative act, what life will you choose to leave behind as your masterpiece?”

― Erwin Raphael McManus, The Artisan Soul: Crafting Your Life into a Work of Art

“Since part of our creative responsibility is to move from imagination to image, we need to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and allow our imagination once again to be the playground of God. And once our dreams and visions are the material that has been passed on to us by a divine imagination, then it is time to dream, to risk, and to create.”

― Erwin Raphael McManus, The Artisan Soul: Crafting Your Life into a Work of Art

Your greatest work of art you will ever create is your life. Your life is your canvas! What are you going to create?

Pick up a copy of Erwin’s book if you have not already read it! It is a treasure.

You.Are.Loved.

Love,
