Hello Friend!  Polly Here.

I was sitting in my house the other day and I looked up at my ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ print and I asked myself… do I really believe this?

Is this my life motto?

Do I really have all my hope and trust in God?

I know God is good, and He is for me and certainly, heaven is my home.

Even though I knew all these truths, my spirit was full of anxiety and fear of the unknown. I was stressed in my business and personal life. Where I once had excitement for the future, all I felt was fear. Fear of the next launch, of the next bill, of the next time I would make a mistake. I kept thinking, ‘Am I enough?’

I realized my life motto sounded more like, ‘The Stress Is Yet To Come”

At that moment, I began to pray and be honest with God. Where was my hope? I realized I had put my hope in myself, in my strength. I was battling thoughts of failure and inadequacy daily.

I had to remind my soul that God chose me for this path, this business, this city, this season. Only God is enough. He is our power, He is the source.

I want to encourage you that God is always with you and He is ready to take your burdens.

Here are a few truth nuggets I want to share from scripture.

“Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things” Colossians 3:2

This scripture was the key to my problem. My focus was off. It was completely on myself, my strength, my problems. I am a bit of a control freak and life is not ours to control. Worldly success is fleeting and empty. This shift helped me to BREATH.

"And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:15-17

Thanksgiving and worship are the best medicine you can give your soul. Without thanksgiving, our human nature goes straight to anxiety and inadequacy. This shift helped me to remember the faithfulness of God is ALL seasons and peace for the future.

My last resource is an amazing sermon about conquering anxiety. This sermon was the biggest game changer in me conquering my anxiety. Watch it below.

Everything that we digest in our mind and body matter. We cannot experience peace if we never unplug from our phone, from the news, from our work. God wants to give you peace, so you must make space for him to give this gift to you! Find your boundaries this week. Unplug, and replace your intake with God’s word, great books, worship, and prayer!

I TRULY believe the best is yet to come for you! God is bigger than anything you are facing.

You.Are.Loved.

Love,
