“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” – First Thessalonians 5:15-18

Are you stuck on finding your purpose? We have all been there, we go searching for our purpose, our vocation, what job we will do, how well we will succeed. What path should I take? If you reread the verse above you will find that God’s is not focused on if we are a salesman, teacher, a yoga instructor or a doctor. His will is focused on what we do to position our heart in relationship with Him at all times, in all circumstances.

In everything give thanks. How are you positioning your heart towards God? Are you feeling that God is more powerful than your circumstances or that your problems and circumstances are too overwhelming?

Please remember that God is for you and when we give Him what He deserves (Thanks and Praise), we are able to bring Him closer. Invite your Father into your day, into your circumstances.

Our purpose is found in the God’s will and our calling is expressed in the Lord’s prayer “On Earth as it is in Heaven” (Matthew 6:10) We play a role on bringing Heaven to Earth. Our prayers, our worship and our spirit of Thanksgiving bring Heaven to Earth no matter what circumstances we face. We get to partner with God to fulfill His purposes, and the biggest one starts in your heart, in the spirit of Thanksgiving. This is a blessing.

The wonderful thing is that when we simply begin to give thanks, even when it seems difficult to remember one answered prayer, it isn’t too long before our focus on the good in our lives creates an opening for the Lord’s joy. And it’s the joy of the Lord that is our strength!

I encourage you to grab your planner and take out the praise report and instead of writing down the praises of that month. Think back to the last 12 months. What has God been faithful in? What answered prayers have you seen? Give thanks for your salvation. It’s important to remember how far God has carried you.

You.Are.Loved
