Hello Friend!

Here is my verse for today!

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:5

We know that this is what we should do, 'take every thought captive,' but HOW ON EARTH do I actually do this? Have you mastered this? I know I have not.

If I am being honest with you, it's not always easy for me to practice what I preach. Whew! It's nice to get this off my chest. I struggle too. I struggle with being the light, sharing the light and trusting my life fully to Jesus. (confessions of a control freak)

Back to the struggle of 'taking every thought captive.' I have a question for you. Have you ever been stuck in a difficult place mentally and as much as you pray or speak scripture over your situation there is little progress? It's ok to admit this! I know I have been there.

There is so much power in God's word. I am not denying the strength of God's Holy word. I have just learned the importance of putting it into practice.  The power of scripture is not just in the 'speaking,' but actually believing and taking action based on what scripture says! Even if that action is simply surrendering.

Our mind is a battlefield, it's OUR battlefield that we need to be aware of and intentional with.

I am excited to share a special video today that I watched in my small group.

I am a big fan of Dr. Caroline Leaf. I heard her preach two years ago at Girlfriends conference and her connection between the science of our brain and the fantastic way God designed you is so interesting! She is a big advocate of spiritual growth through practical science and intentional steps to renew our mind. It has great content, and she is a quick talker, so you might have to watch it more than once!

I hope this video helps you see a new way of thinking!

After you watch it, share what you think! What did you get out of it? Comment Below.
